Our 3 Year Community Goal
This is our moment to unite in purpose.
Over the next three years, United Way of the Capital Region will raise $15 million to help 100,000 children and families succeed in school, strengthen family financial stability and remain safely housed.
This goal is about meeting this moment together and ensuring every child has the security, support and opportunity they deserve.
What The New Goal Means for Our Community
This three year goal focuses on the building blocks every family needs to thrive.
SCHOOL.
Helping children learn and succeed in the classroom by supporting early learning, literacy and academic achievement so every child is prepared for the future.
INCOME.
Supporting parents and caregivers with the tools, resources and income stability needed to rely on one steady job and build long term financial security.
HOME.
Making sure families have a safe, stable place to call home because housing stability is foundational to health, education and long term success.
Together, these priorities strengthen families today and create lasting change for generations to come.
Rising to Meet This Moment
The last three years have made one thing clear.
United Way rises to meet our community’s needs every time.
This new goal opens the door to even greater opportunities for children and families throughout the Capital Region. The challenges of recent years have shown what is possible when our community comes together with purpose, compassion and resolve. Together we thrive.
Thank You to Our Lead Supporter
We are deeply grateful to U.S. Bank for their leadership and commitment to this goal through a $300,000 investment over three years.
Their generosity helps set this vision in motion and inspires others to stand with children and families across our region.
A Century of Impact
United Way California Capital Region has been a driving force in our community for more than 100 years. Since 1923, we have raised over $500 million to fight poverty and help families succeed across the region.
Throughout our history, we have focused on reaching families where impact begins, at school. Education is the great equalizer, opening the door to jobs, resources and skills that help people thrive. From early learning and literacy to support for foster youth, our work creates a continuum of services that strengthens families and builds opportunity for generations.
