Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, the Director of Finance and Operations provides leadership and overall direction for wide range of activities related to finance, accounting, information technology, facilities, operations, and discretionary activities that support effective business operations. The Director provides supervision to UWCCR’s Finance and Operations Department and is responsible for managing all day-to-day fiscal functions of the organization, including preparation of the annual budget, conducting financial analysis, and preparing financial reports. The incumbent is responsible for supervising, inspiring, supporting, and responding to team members to build trust, confidence, high performance, and results through coaching, mentoring, delegation, and professional development.

United Way California Capital Region (UWCCR) is seeking a Director to join the Resource Development and Marketing Team to oversee the Our Promise: CA State Employees Giving at Work Initiative.

Reporting to the Chief of Resource Development and Marketing, the Director, Our Promise Campaign is responsible for developing and conducting a very complex workplace campaign throughout the state with a multitude of stakeholders and relationships. The Our Promise: California State Employees Giving at Work Initiative encompasses more than 20 regional campaigns throughout the state. This campaign solicits more than 300,000 California State employees for charitable contributions raising almost $7 million pledged annually.

The Director is responsible for creating new relationships as well as maintaining and enhancing existing ones with all the campaign stakeholder groups, including other California United Ways. The Director is also responsible for assembling and staffing the Our Promise Leadership Team and assisting with the recruitment of employee volunteers at various levels. The Director is also responsible for achieving or surpassing revenue goals and for meeting or exceeding customer/donor expectations for quality and account service within the state employee workplace giving campaign. Additionally, the Director is responsible for the management of the Leaders United program including recruiting volunteers and managing all program elements.

The Grants Manager will partner with various colleagues in our Community Impact Division to manage a growing portfolio of public and private grant funders. They will utilize professional expertise to develop and cultivate local and national relationships to build a pipeline of grant opportunities, as well as internal relationships across all departments in the organization. The Grants Manager will collaborate on the development and execution of a grant funding strategic plan and milestones; steward and cultivate existing and prospective funders; co-create proposal concepts with funders and UWCCR staff; and develop and review proposal content.

United Way California Capital Region (UWCCR) is seeking a Senior Director, Marketing and Communications to join the Resource Development and Marketing Department!

Reporting to the Chief Resource Development & Marketing Officer, the Senior Director of Marketing and Communications is a key member of the Resource Development and Marketing and will lead the communications and marketing strategies for United Way. A major aspect of this role will be telling United Way’s story with key stakeholders and across the community. You’ll achieve this through innovative solutions, development of best practices, exceptional communication, and a can-do attitude. You will manage the marketing team, various cross-functional teams, and outside vendors, ensuring United Way’s goals and targets are achieved and long-term relationships are built with donors and other stakeholders. You will develop an in-depth understanding of the donor base and seek to forge strong internal relationships with a variety of departments to facilitate communication and collaboration. In addition, you will create and execute marketing and communication strategies for the Our Promise CA State Employees Charitable Campaign. Lastly, as United Way receives more grant funding for specific programs, your role will be to develop strategies and fulfill the requirements of the grant while connecting the programs to United Way’s mission.
