September 2022 Corporate Community Champion
Shoutout to our September ’22 Corporate Community Champion, SAFE Credit Union, who has been an important pillar in the community and supporter of United Way since 2002!
SAFE Credit Union stays true to their founding philosophy of people helping people as we can always count on their support. Their company focus is on supporting local health and education, which aligns with our mission to end poverty and create stronger, healthier and more compassionate communities.
As a founding partner of our Kindergarten 2 College program, SAFE Credit Union knows how critical it is for children to start saving for college. Those with any amount of savings in an account are four times more likely to graduate from college.
They have also been an incredible partner and have sponsored so many of our events, such as Women United (WU) Luncheon, Young Leaders Society (YLS)Brews & Brains, YLS Remix and Day of Caring.
Eric Grabin, Business Development Manager with SAFE Credit Union, has served on our YLS Council since 2018. In 2021, he served as the chair and is also one of our newest United Way Board of Directors members.
Amanda Merz, Community Impact Manager, has been a Women United supporter since 2017 and joined as a member in 2022 at the 20th Anniversary Luncheon.
