Supporting foster youth to have the tools and resources they need for a bright future
To increase the likelihood of self-sufficiency after aging out of the foster care system, our Foster Youth Support program works with local foster youth to assist in increasing self-sufficiency and preparing them for success in life.
These programs are supported by Women United.
College Students
Collegiate Guaranteed Income Program
In partnership with Sacramento State University, this program provides $500/month for 12 months in guaranteed income to 10 currently-enrolled students who are former foster youth. *As this is a new program, outcome data will be available at a later time.
K-12 Students
San Juan Unified Literacy Tutoring & Homework Help
In partnership with the San Juan Unified Foster Youth Services department to offer Literacy Tutoring and Homework Support outside of school hours. This program is designed to help students in K-8th grade who need help with their literacy levels or need support with their homework to become stronger and more confident readers and students. The options provided are in efforts to provide community-based support that is accessible for you and your child. To apply for this program, please fill out the form below.
