ADULT REENTRY PROGRAM

About the Adult Reentry Program

United Way’s Adult Reentry Program supports individuals returning to the community after incarceration. Through personalized care management and housing navigation, we help participants stabilize, rebuild and move toward long‑term success.

We work closely with parole agents, community partners and other local agencies to ensure each participant receives coordinated support throughout their reentry journey.

To join, you must have been incarcerated in California at some point in your life, be 18 or older and live in either Sacramento or Placer County.

What We Can do

Here is what we can do for you:

  • Pay your rent for up to six months
  • Pay your security deposit and application fees
  • Help with one-time things you need when moving into long-term housing
  • Cover credit checks and enrollment costs for housing
  • Give you a monthly bus pass so you can get to work, school and appointments
