In the fall of 2020, West Sacramento welcomed a new Dollar General/DG Fresh cold storage facility and community partner, whose mission is “Serving Others.”
Brandy Payne, the General Manager, held Dollar General’s first employee giving campaign during their first week of operation and raised nearly $1,700 to support UWCCR.
In November the Dollar General team presented United Way California Capital Region with a generous $5,000 corporate gift check in support of our local programs.
Dollar General is deeply involved in the communities it serves and is an ardent supporter of literacy and education awarding grants each year to nonprofit organizations, schools and libraries to support adult, family, summer and youth literacy programs.
