Supporting foster youth to have the tools and resources they need for a bright future
Through our Collegiate Guaranteed Income program, 20 students in Sacramento State and UC Davis’s Guardian Scholars programs are receiving $500 a month for one year. This eases financial challenges like rent, groceries and transportation so students can focus on their education and graduation goals.
Growing Support for Foster Youth
- Launched as a pilot in 2024 with 10 Sacramento State students.
- Renewed funding for those students through graduation.
- Expanded in 2025 to include 10 UC Davis students.
- $180,000 will have been distributed directly to foster youth students through this program at the conclusion of the 2025-26 school year.
