Join in on the fun! Help United Way kick-off the annual STAR Readers Book Drive with this special birthday celebration for Dr. Seuss at Fairytale Town on Sunday, March 2nd, 2014!

Volunteers will help greet and lead fun activities for families who attend this event. Come before or stay after your shift to enjoy the event! Or feel free to sign up for both shifts. For more information about the event and the STAR Readers Book Drive, check out the attached flyer!

Thank you for your interest. All volunteers spots have been filled for both shifts as of 2/25/14. We hope you’ll join us at the event to have some fun.

Volunteer tasks available:

Arts & Crafts
Assist children in making the following Seuss themed hands on activities:

  • Cat in the Hat hats (9 volunteers per shift)
  • One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish Handprints (5 volunteers per shift)
  • Thing 1 and Thing 2 Gardening Activity (5 volunteers per shift)

Greeters

  • Greet and welcome guests and pass out programs near the front gate of Fairytale Town (4 volunteers per shift)

Other information:

  • Volunteers must commit to entire shift and will be allowed to attend event (for free) before or after volunteer shift
  • Additional details including parking, special volunteer entrance and other pertinent information will be sent after registering
