UPS helps out at Koinonia Homes for Teens
Over the months of March and April 2014, volunteers from UPS helped improve one of the group homes of Koinonia Homes for teens recently. Volunteers tackled the projects of putting in drywall and improving the garage space at one of the group homes to be used for important storage. This is a vast improvement from the shape of the garage before!
Koinonia Homes for Teens has over 29 years of effective collaboration to provide quality adoptive, foster care and treatment programs to abused, neglected, abandoned and chemically-dependent children and families. The best part of the day for the volunteers was spending time together outside of their normal operation following an in depth tour of the house as they learned about the various programs. Thank you UPS for making such a difference in our community by taking on this project and thank you to Koinonia for being gracious hosts for our volunteers. The improvements made will be appreciated for years to come.
