Target Fulton volunteers with Sacramento SPCA
A group of volunteers from Target Fulton recently came together to help out at Sacramento SPCA.
The first part of the morning consisted of the most heart-felt and touching tour of the adoption center, including dozens of cats, dogs and rabbits. After the tour, the crew split up to accomplish multiple tasks during their time at the SSPCA. The first group worked on washing the SSPCA vehicles so they are ready to be used as needed. The second group helped fill in holes dug by dogs in the free play area in order to ensure safety for humans and canines alike.
The Sacramento Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SSPCA) was established in 1894 and is dedicated to ensuring the humane treatment of all animals in the Sacramento area. They provide a safe and nurturing environment for unwanted, abandoned and mistreated pets until they can be placed into loving homes. Through proactive intervention, public education and community outreach, the Sacramento SPCA seeks to promote respect for all life by breaking the cycle of abuse, neglect and pet overpopulation in our communities. Interested in volunteering with the SSPCA? We can help plan your volunteer opportunity. Thank you to the hard working volunteers from Target Fulton and to the SSPCA staff and regular volunteers for being wonderful hosts.
