H.B. Fuller “Make a Difference Day” comes to Kids First
Volunteers from H.B. Fuller organized a volunteer opportunity with United Way certified partner Kids First as part of the annual H.B. Fuller global “Make a Difference Day.” Kids First recently moved into a new space in downtown Roseville and the building needed some major painting updates, cabinet upgrades and some storage areas organized. Team leads came out weeks ahead of time to take measurements and get the information needed to get all paint and supplies purchased before the big day. When the day came, everything was organized and ready to go and made for a wonderful volunteer experience. In addition to donating all the necessary supplies and completing the work, H.B. Fuller also held an internal book drive to collect books for local kids who receive services through Kids First. Together, they collected ten bags of books—far more than ever expected.
Kids First strives to end child abuse in all its forms, by providing treatment for child victims of abuse and education for parents, service providers and community members. The painting and other facility improvements will be appreciated by many for years to come. One of the Kids First staff members stressed how much different it would be for young clients walking down a warmly painted hallway for counseling rather than the pre-existing walls that needed to be touched up. Improvements like this truly make all the difference in the world, especially to a young mind. Thank you to H.B. Fuller for everything you do for our community and to Kids First for being a great partner.
