Big team of volunteers from Payless Shoe Source help Snowline Hospice
A group of 25 volunteers from Payless Shoe Source recently volunteered with the Folsom Thrift Store of Snowline Hospice. Many members of the group recently helped out at this location as a smaller team and had such a great experience they wanted to come back with the larger group. Volunteers worked in the donation center, sorting, organizing and pricing items to be sold as well as various other tasks such as cleaning up the parking lot and painting one of the dressing rooms. The Thrift Store supports the operation of United Way certified partner Snowline Hospice.
Snowline Hospice provides end-of-life care provided through a multi-disciplinary team of healthcare professionals. Bereavement services are also provided for those the organization has served and the community at large. Snowline Hospice now operates six thrift stores (five in El Dorado County, and one in Sacramento County) as well as it’s Reuse & Processing (RAP) Center in Placerville. All proceeds from Thrift Store sales go to help support the mission of Snowline Hospice serving our community by supporting patients near end-of-life and guiding loved-ones through grief.
Thank you to the volunteers from Payless Shoe Source who stepped up and made an impact that will last far beyond the hours invested. And a huge thank you to Snowline Hospice for being gracious hosts for the team of volunteers and for all you do on a regular basis.
