Volunteer: Spike Week
Join us for a Square One Project volunteer opportunity
Help us keep the fun going at our Summer Meals sites during Spike Week! The Sacramento Summer Meals Collaborative recognizes that July is traditionally a month when participation in the summer meals program declines. To address this issue, the Collaborative is organizing a community-wide Spike Week with an overall goal to increase participation in the summer meals program.
Volunteer: Beautification at a Summer Meals Site
Join us for a Square One Project volunteer opportunity
Help beautify our summer meals sites! Many of our sites have dreams of cultivating outdoor spaces for the kids to learn and play in. We are looking for volunteers to help with painting, building a garden, clearing out overgrown bushes/debris, and more! Some of our sites also need help with indoor work such as painting or organizing books and materials.

Volunteer: Enrichment Activity at a Summer Meals Site
Join us for a Square One Project volunteer opportunity
Summer brings long, fun days of no school and lots of running, jumping, singing and playing for young children. For low-income children, if they don’t get academic enrichment activities during the summer, they begin to forget what they learned during the school year. We call this summer slide.
