Women in Philanthropy Spring event
towel set / toiletry / luggage collection for foster youth
You are invited to United Way’s Women in Philanthropy Spring event! We will be collecting towel sets (one bath towel, one hand towel and one wash cloth), new toiletry items and new or gently used luggage and/or duffel bags for local foster youth at this event. This event is open to non-members.
The online wish list provided by CafeGive let’s you select the items you want to purchase, place your order and they will be shipped directly to the United Way offices. We value your giving spirit and your time, so we’ve made it simple and fast so you can continue to do it all!
You can also make your donations by joining us at the Women in PhilantropySpring event or by making arrangements to drop-off items to our office before May 4.

Women in Philanthropy members and supporters participate in the
Foster Youth Emancipation Basket program through Sacramento
County. Items are collected for the more than 300 foster youth
emancipating from the system so they have necessary household
items to get started on their own. Our towel sets and toiletry
items are included in these baskets. Last year, we collected more
then 350 towel sets and more than a hundred toiletry items. This
year, we will also be collecting new or gently used luggage
and/or duffel bags for foster youth so they have something to
transport their belongings.
