YLS Member Spotlight
Learn more about YLS Leadership Council member Joseph Ramos

Tell us a little bit about yourself. Where do you work? What do you do for fun? I work for Shriners Hospital for Children-Northern California and I love my job. I get to work with the kindest, most generous community members, and every single day is different from the last. For fun, I enjoy playing sports (volleyball) with XOSO and I participate in local community theatre.

What motivated you to join United Way’s Young Leaders Society? It was important for me to find my own way of giving back and hands-on service was the perfect choice.

What’s the best leadership advice you’ve ever received? Be nice!

What’s your advice to other young professionals looking to get involved in the community? Don’t be scared. Giving back is the coolest and most rewarding adventure!
