Your BIG Day of Giving Donation in Action
See how your donation impacted the Sacramento region on Day of Caring
On May 5, BIG Day of Giving, we asked you to choose United Way, and you did! We know you have many other choices when it comes to giving, and we’re thankful you trusted us to do something great with your gift.
We are back to show you what your dollars went towards on our annual Day of Caring.
On September 11, we called to action hundreds of volunteers to accomplish 36 projects and local nonprofits and improve the quality of life in our region.
On this day of caring, 936 volunteers completed 36 volunteer projects and contributed 4,206 hours. WOW! That’s 274 more volunteers than last year!
On Day of Caring, volunteers fanned out across the valley in Amador, El Dorado, Placer, Sacramento, and Yolo counties to complete their projects. They painted, built, sorted, cleaned, and organized at projects including a Saturday project with Tuleyome in Woodland.
Thank you again for your contribution to United Way California Capital Region on BIG Day of Giving. It meant the world to us, and 36 other nonprofits in our region.
