Volunteers Making an Impact
See the impact we made in April

United Way California Capital Region works hard to connect volunteers to community organizations where they can make a difference in our community. We’re are so proud of our volunteers and wanted to showcase recent impact in action. Check out what they have been up to!

UPS at Sacramento Food Bank & Family Services

We were so pleased to have UPS back with us at Sacramento Food Bank and Family Services. 13 volunteers talked the massive job that is sorting donations. This is a momentous task that has to be undertaken everyday and the staff at the Food Bank was so relieved to have the help this time.

ReImagine Mack Road

On April 25th ReImagine Mack Rd and the Mack Road Business Partnership undertook a continuation of a neighborhood revitalization project. Over 300 volunteers came out to Mack Road Community Center early on a Saturday and bonded with neighbors and schoolmates as they laid new irrigation lines and water pipes, spruced up the play ground, and helped clean up around some local businesses.

Serve with Liberty at Community Recovery Resources

This past weekend Liberty Mutual accomplished a commitment of epic proportions during their Serve with Liberty week at the Auburn Campus of Community Recovery Resources. 58 employees came together over 2 full days of work, accomplishing as many projects as the Center could throw at them. They weeded, mended, painted and built and by the end of the second day, they had the Auburn Campus looking like a dream home for many of the residents.

Thank you to everyone who participated in projects this month! We hope to work with you again soon!
