STEM Center + MakerSpace Cleaning Crew with the Girl Scouts Heart of Central California
Friday, Sept. 21, 9 a.m. - 12 p.m.

Project description:

The Girl Scouts STEM Center + MakerSpace is turning one! Over the past year, we’ve welcomed more than 1,500 Girl Scouts into the space, teaching them robotics, engineering, coding and more. As the only girl-only STEM Center in the country, the Girl Scouts STEM Center + MakerSpace is a place where girls can incorporate scientific discovery in their lives, and use design thinking and collaborative problem-solving. Volunteers will prepare materials for new fall STEM workshops, organize supplies and clean the 2,200 square foot space.

Sacramento, CA 95819

Additional notes:

Volunteers must be 18 years old or older.

We do not have physical space for 40 volunteers but can accommodate 20 volunteers comfortably. Any volunteer with STEM experience or expertise is great, but volunteers who are active and like projects that involve cleaning, organizing, cutting, etc. would be good.

Volunteers should wear close-toed shoes, pants, and a comfortable shirt. We will have water on site but are a bottle-free space, so we encourage volunteers to bring their own water bottles.
