We are thrilled to welcome Genevieve Levy to our team as the new Senior Director of Impact.

Originally from Sonoma, CA, Genevieve graduated with a degree in International Relations and a Spanish minor from UC Davis where she also played Division 1 Women’s Rugby helping the team to their first time at national championships.

During her career, Levy has worked in various direct social service and program development/management roles at Sacramento Food Bank & Family Services (SFBFS) including as the Director of Family Services. As a member of SFBFS’ leadership team, she also assisted in the planning and execution of all special events and assisted in developing and opening their Immigration Legal Services and Refugee Resettlement programs.

A  2018 40 Under 40 Honoree, Sacramento Magazine’s 2021 Top 100 Notable Business Leaders, and the recipient of the Sherwood Carthen Service Above Self Award from the City of Sacramento, Levy most recently and proudly held the role of Direct Director for CA State Assembly District 7 with Assemblymember Kevin McCarty.

Levy met her husband (who is now a Kaiser physician) during undergrad and the two live in Sacramento with their two young daughters, ages 6 and 3. Levy loves spending time with her family, traveling, being active, coaching and volunteering, and is excited to begin this new chapter as Senior Director of Impact for United Way.

“I am excited to use my network and experience working to end poverty in our region, and I look forward to expanding our programs and partnerships even larger as we collaborate with local partners! I am proud to do this work directly benefitting families and seeing where I can further support them to make the biggest impact.”
