More ways to give to local foster youth
Gifting made easy this holiday season
Gifts from the Heart
As a membership, we will be participating in Sacramento County’s Gift from the Heart program again. We gift over 150 gifts annually to local foster youth based on their wish list items. We are very grateful to be able to use Amazon Wishlists this year to fulfill their requests. Click here to learn more.
Sweet Cases & Teen Duffle Bags for Foster Youth
In a year like 2020 where our interactions are limited, what can we put in the hands of foster youth TODAY that will serve an impact. We will be partnering with Together We Rise to provide 100 sweet cases (for youth age 10 below) and 100 teen duffels (for youth ages 10-18) to local foster youth this spring.
When children often enter care they are given two trash bags. With the Sweet Case program, they can have much more. A Sweet Case is a children’s bag that can be decorated on the outside and inside: teddy bear, blanket, coloring books, crayons and a hygiene kit.
Teens in care are often overlooked and feel forgotten. They are still being moved from placement to placement and need the proper resources so they can travel with dignity. These sturdy duffle bags will do just that.
Make a $50 donation to get 1 Sweet Case to a child in foster care and 1 duffle bag to a teen in foster care. Click the button below and be sure to designate your donation to “Women United” in the drop-down menu.
