Deadline to Request Economic Impact Payment from IRS (October 15)

Post

If you have not yet requested your economic impact payment from the government, it’s not too late. You have until October 15, 2020, to input your information. If you miss the deadline, you will have to wait until you file your tax return next year to receive your payment. If you qualify, please request your payment today.

How do I qualify?

Visit the IRS economic Impact Payments Information Center to answer your questions about eligibility, payment amounts, what to expect, when to expect it and more.

How do I request my payment?

If you have a filing requirement and have not filed a tax return for 2018 or 2019, you must file this year’s tax return to receive the payment.

The IRS is experiencing delays processing some returns. If you already filed, you don’t need to take action and should NOT file a duplicate return. If you have not yet filed your return but are required to do so, file your return electronically and choose direct deposit for any refund.

If you are not required to file a 2018 or 2019 tax return, visit Non-Filers: Enter Payment Info Here
