40-60 more volunteers needed

Project description:

Kindness? Tolerance? Anne Frank? What do they all have in common? They are all themes in our incredible Tolerance Garden. We need YOU to make it even better! Everyone loves pizza, right? How about cauliflower pizza grown in your own school garden and then cooked in our hand created pizza oven? Last year we had an amazing time weeding, creating raised beds, and painting gorgeous murals. This year we want to once again clean up, add more mulch and then create our pizza oven. Our day will end with a fresh cauliflower lunch cooked in our new oven. Help us add kindness quotes to our rock garden and beautify our Tolerance garden.

This opportunity is perfect for the green thumb and those who know how to irrigate gardens.

Location:

700 Southgate Road
Sacramento, CA 95815

Additional notes:

If you have any weeding, drills, saws, screwdrivers, garden tools, wheelbarrows, shovels to share are always welcome.  On-site, we have we have gloves and some tools, but more the merrier!
