What Can a Girl Scout Cookie Buy?
Cookie Season is Near!

Girl Scouts of the USA is celebrating its 100th anniversary this year, and United Way California Capital Region nonprofit partner Girl Scouts Heart of Central California is celebrating the occasion with its “Buy 5″ incentive program:  For each five boxes of cookies purchased, customers are eligible to enter a drawing to win a whole case (that’s 12 packages, people!) of their favorite Girl Scout Cookies each month for an entire year.  Look for the Thin Mints and Peanut Butter Patties-bearing lasses staked out in front of your local grocery stores from February 23 to March 18.

At only four bucks a pop, they won’t dent your wallet and you’ll be supporting an excellent cause.  After paying the baker, the remaining cookie proceeds go toward local Girl Scout troop activities and membership services.  This unique program is one of the few in the nation which allows the girls themselves to decide where a portion of the profits is applied.  For additional information, contact Melanie Glover at melanie.glover@girlscoutshcc.org or visit www.girlscoutshcc.org
