Sacramento CASA Cares
An Advocate for Every Child

United Way California Capital Region nonprofit partner Sacramento Court Appointed Special Advocate Program, Inc., has a specific New Year’s goal:  to represent 300 foster children in 2012.  While our child protection systems are replete with caring judges, social workers and lawyers, these professionals often have overflowing caseloads and/or not enough time to give the attention they’d like to bestow upon each child.  CASA volunteers are a dedicated group of people who contribute their time to tending to the needs of youth in foster care by through protecting the child’s right to safety, treating their charges respectfully and with dignity, and helping them “learn and grow in a loving family.”   With a financial contribution, you can make a difference in the lives of these children.  Each $1,500 raised provides a child in the program with a CASA volunteer for a whole year.  Visit for more information.
