Amador County residents, nonprofits and businesses invited to United Way community forum
United Way to announce project results for Amador County
November 29, 2012 – Residents, nonprofits and businesses based in
Amador County are invited to gather for a United Way Community
Forum from 5:30-7:30 p.m. on Dec. 5 at the City of Jackson
office, 33 Broadway, Jackson.
The event will give participants the chance to discuss United
Way’s projects impacting early childhood literacy, obesity
prevention and financial stability. United Way also will announce
project results for Amador County and discuss its new Volunteer
Services program.
“We began these projects after input from the community, and now
is the chance to have us report back on the difference the
projects are making. We hope the community will come out to hear
about our great results and to share their valuable input,” said
Steve Heath, president and CEO, United Way California Capital
Region.
United Way held community forums in Woodland on Nov. 26, in
Auburn on Nov. 27 and in Sacramento on Dec. 3. A community forum
will be held from 5:30-7:30 p.m. in Placerville on Dec. 11 at the
El Dorado County Office of Education.
United Way is the region’s leading provider of innovative
