Women United members are invited to come together to hear about simple, straightforward ways to adjust our lens to SMALL. Spend part of your evening in this unique environment with renowned author Jane Anne Staw and other passionate women.
Members can bring friends, neighbors, co-workers (anyone who would enjoy an evening with the author) as we discuss the small secrets and keys to happiness in an ever-changing environment – it’s easier than you think!
There are over 650 documented children in Robla School District who qualify as homeless under the McKinney-Vento Homeless Assistance Act, a federal program that ensures the educational rights and protections for children and youth experiencing homelessness. For these students and their families, the start of a new school year is often a cause for stress and anxiety due to the inability to secure necessary school supplies needed to start the year successfully.
On June 13, we held the annual Women United Members’ Celebration at the Mimosa House in Sacramento. The evening was filled with food, good company, and of course, delicious mimosas.
Welcome Women United!

Volunteers Needed: Help Teachers Bring on New Beginnings
Join us as we transition teachers at Taylor Street Elementary into new classrooms
The kindergarten and first-grade classes at Taylor Street Elementary are getting a new look! They need your help moving all of the classroom items into a storage pod while the school is under construction.
We are looking for volunteers to help make the move easy and quick. It will be a hot day, so please wear cool work clothes and lots of water!
You will need to bring/wear:
Women United’s successful spring drive inspires hope for future youth
Hundreds of towels, toiletries, luggage collected for foster youth
Women United’s annual spring drive collected a striking 315 towel sets (one bath towel, hand towel, and washcloth) and hundreds of luggage and toiletry items benefiting local foster youth who are preparing to emancipate from the system. Members and community members from all over the region came together to support this cause.
