Women’s Empowerment’s 10th Anniversary Gala to benefit women & children
Celebrate independence for formerly homeless women
Community members are invited to the 10th Anniversary Celebration of Independence Gala that benefits United Way California Capital Region’s certified nonprofit partner Women’s Empowerment. They are a local nonprofit helping homeless women find homes and jobs so they can support their families. The event honors the group’s most recent graduates and is the organization’s largest fundraiser.
The gala will take place 5:30-9 p.m., Sept. 22, at The Grand, 1215 J Street, Sacramento, and will feature a formal dinner, live and silent auctions, live music, and presentations from the graduates and local community leaders. Tickets are $75 each. For tickets or sponsorships, call (916) 669-2307 or visit www.womens-empowerment.org.
“This is the perfect way to celebrate our 10th anniversary – surrounded by the beautiful women who have risen from homelessness in the last 10 years and the community that has empowered them,” said Lisa Culp, executive director. “We hope the community will come celebrate and hear more about the work we’re planning for our next decade.”
