Description: Whooo’s ready for a fun weekend kicking
off the Halloween season? It’s an Owl Prowl at the
Discovery Museum. Meet the Museum’s two owls, Tucker (the
Great Horned Owl) and Milo (the Western Screech Owl).
They’ll visit with guests at noon and 2pm each day. Check
out some other species by seeing the preserved owls in our Nature
Discovery Room. Visitors ages 12 and under make a paper
Screech Owl nest to take home as a souvenir. Admission
includes these activities, the Space Quest! exhibit and
planetarium shows at 1pm & 3pm (for ages 4 and older).

Description: Visit the museum this weekend to learn
about Earth’s nearest neighbor- the Moon! This
international event reminds people to look up and enjoy our
nearest celestial neighbor. Learn some basic moon facts in
our Space Quest! exhibit and in our special Moon-themed
planetarium show (at 1:00pm and 3:00pm, ages 4 and older
only). With this newfound knowledge, kids decorate a Moon
cookie to take as a treat. Families can take home a “Moon
Packet” with good viewing tips, Moon map, and more!

Description: This weekend the Museum is highlighting
some infamous creatures of the night- BATS! Bring your
family to explore some of the science behind these nocturnal
mammals. A small bat display is setup for this weekend only
and children may assemble a “bat clip” craft to take
home. The noon and 2:00pm Creature Feature is a
PowerPoint presentation on bat biology in our planetarium (for
all ages). Your admission includes these activities and a
planetarium show (1pm & 3pm, ages 4 & older).

sticks–oh my! Are you ready for some creepy crawly fun?
Get into the Halloween spirit this weekend at the Discovery
Museum with our smallest live animals. Get up close and
personal with these critters at our noon and 2:00pm Creature
Feature. Kids ages 12 and under make a spider craft to
decorate the house with for Halloween. Your admission
includes these activities, the Space Quest! exhibit and a
