Community Housing Opportunities Corporation (CHOC)
A Sacramento County Community Partner
Partnering with other nonprofit organizations like Community Housing Opportunities Corporation (CHOC) allows us to reach residents of Sacramento County for our Students & Tutors Achieving Reading Success (STARS) Program.
CHOC’s Youth and Family Services is working hard to respond to the needs of our families, many of whom live in communities hit hardest by COVID-19. The social, emotional and educational needs of youth are a top priority, especially after such an unprecedented break in classroom learning.
CHOC After School Programs are focused on strengthening academic success, are in our housing communities and are offered at no cost to residents. The youth participate in year-round out-of-school-time events and activities which promote student success, along with fostering engagement, friendships, and opportunities to gain confidence and resolve conflicts.
Support CHOC This Holiday Season
Purchase items from the CHOC Youth & Family Services Wish List.
The donations received through the United Way Holiday Giving Campaign will be used in the After School Programs and will have an immediate and direct impact on our youth. The supplies will be used daily to meet the goals and outcomes of educational and emotional success, along with fostering a sense of togetherness, fun and community engagement during the holiday season.
