Emerging Leaders kick up their heels at Cocktails & Ballet
United Way Emerging Leaders Blog
On Thursday, January 31, the United Way Emerging Leaders held
their 2nd annual Cocktails & Ballet event. Hopefully, you had the
pleasure of “putting on the Ritz” with me at this “Flappers &
Fellas” 20s-themed event, celebrating the United Way California
Capitol Region’s 90th Birthday.
More than 150 of the area’s up-and-coming philanthropists
attended this sold out soiree sponsored by AT&T. Throughout
the evening, guests were treated to delicious food and wine
provided by Hannibal’s Catering, networked and chatted on the
comfy sofas donated by Classic Party Rentals, and enjoyed sneak
peak dances from the cast of the Sacramento Ballet’s world
premier “Great Gatsby.” Many of the “dolls” and “fellas” even
joined in for a swinging Charleston lesson, proving Emerging
Leaders know how to “tog the bricks.”
Clearly, the evening was an amazing success—the cat’s meow, if
you will! Not only did we raise money for the consistently
stellar programs of the United Way California Capital Region, but
also the Emerging Leaders demonstrated our “Social with a
Purpose” mission.
