Panelist, Meet the Funders: Gain a Better Understanding on How to Customize Your Grant Proposal


Kären Woodruff is Vice President, Community Affairs for the Wells Fargo Foundation in the Northern California Region. She is responsible for managing and directing charitable contributions for 22 counties within the Northern California Region, working closely with community organizations to determine local needs and opportunities for grant making.

Ms. Woodruff joined Wells Fargo in 2013 bringing a combined for-profit and not-for-profit perspective from her 25 years’ experience in business development, marketing, outreach, community engagement and relationship building at various organizations.

Ms. Woodruff recently served as Associate Executive Director for Stanford Youth Solutions, formerly Stanford Home for Children and previously, she was the Director of Corporate Relations for UC Davis Health System. Before joining UC Davis, Woodruff was Director of New Business Development at Amdocs and headed their philanthropic giving programs.

As a member of Association of Fundraising Professionals, Women in Philanthropy, Association of Healthcare Professionals, Network of Academic Corporate Relations Officers, SACTO, and Sacramento Chamber of Commerce, Ms. Woodruff is actively involved in the community. She has served on several local boards including Disabled Sports USA and St. Ignatius Parish School and is currently a board member of Sacramento Food Bank and Family Services.
