Tell us a little bit about yourself. Where do you work? What do you do for fun? I work for Shriners Hospital for Children-Northern California and I love my job. I get to work with the kindest, most generous community members, and every single day is different from the last. For fun, I enjoy playing sports (volleyball) with XOSO and I participate in local community theatre.

What motivated you to join United Way’s Young Leaders Society? It was important for me to find my own way of giving back and hands-on service was the perfect choice.

1. Tell us a little bit about yourself. Where do you work? What do you do for fun?  I work at the California State Transportation Agency. For fun, I like to camp with friends and family, particularly at the beach.

2. What motivated you to join United Way’s Young Leaders Society? Giving back to the community. There is no better way to change our communities for the better than just going out and doing it!

3. What’s the best leadership advice you’ve ever received. Follow your own path.

Crafting for Kids
YLS Volunteers decorate notes for students

Thank you to everyone who came out to “Vino & Volunteering” last week! More than 30 Young Leaders Society (YLS) volunteers decorated notes for elementary school students in the Robla School District. With just paper, markers and stickers, volunteers created cute, inspiring notes for hundreds of kids.
