Zurich volunteers work on the American River Parkway
A team of volunteers from Zurich came together in partnership with United Way to help out the American River Parkway Foundation with invasive plant clean-up at River Bend Park. Volunteers met as a team and headed out deep into the vegetation area to help remove invasive plants near young trees so they can get the sunshine and nutrients they need to grow strong. The area the volunteers worked on will eventually be used for education programs related the importance of parks and the environment in relation to healthy living for kids, adults and families.
The mission of the American River Parkway Foundation is to support the preservation and enjoyment of the American River Parkway by fostering environmental education, stewardship and volunteer opportunities. Thank you to the staff for partnering with United Way and Zurich to help coordinate this volunteer activity. Most importantly, thank you to the hard working and fun loving team of volunteers from Zurich. Your hard work made a huge difference.
