St. John’s Shelter for Women and Children calls, UPS answers

Volunteer

Members of the team from UPS answered the plea for last minute help at St. John’s Shelter for Women and Children. With a job to get done in a timely manner, the UPS team got straight to work.In just a short time, they managed to move 20 new twin size mattresses from the donation center to the shelter and still managed to spend some additional time working in the donation center organizing clothes, shoes and household items.Without their help, the tasks at hand could not have been accomplished.

St. John’s Shelter for Women and Children is the only program in Sacramento County focused exclusively on the most vulnerable of the homeless population, women with children. Thank you to St. John’s for all the wonderful things you do in the community and for hosting the UPS volunteers. Thank you to UPS and individual volunteers for stepping up to make a difference. Your time invested will make a  difference and touch many for years to come.
