Sleep Train volunteers help Sacramento Children’s Home prepare for holidays
A team of outgoing volunteers from Sleep Train recently stepped up to help out Sacramento Children’s Home, a United Way certified partner. The organization has been working hard on their annual holiday toy drive and distribution preparation and needed the extra hands of the volunteers to make sure everything was ready on time. This year, Sacramento Children’s Home and partners will distribute gifts to over 5,000 children. Volunteers heard from representatives from the organization to better familiarize themselves with the organization and the gift distribution process By the end of the afternoon, the work was completed, and the space transformed and ready for the next project!
Sacramento Children’s Home provides residential treatment for emotionally disturbed children, outpatient mental health services, wraparound services, crisis nurseries, after school tutoring and literacy, and in-home services for at-risk families. Thank you to Sleep Train for lending the time and talents of your team and to Sacramento Children’s Home for hosting this group of volunteers.
