Intel volunteers with Snowline Hospice
A group of volunteers from Intel stepped up to give back their time at the Folsom Thrift Store of Snowline Hospice. Volunteers worked in the donation center, sorting, organizing and pricing items to be sold in the Thrift Store which supports the operation of United Way certified partner Snowline Hospice. The group had fun and worked hard at the same time, allowing an opportunity to connect as a team outside of the normal business operation.
Snowline Hospice provides end-of-life care provided through a multi-disciplinary team of healthcare professionals. Bereavement services are also provided for those the organization has served and the community at large. Snowline Hospice now operates six thrift stores (five in El Dorado County, and one in Sacramento County) as well as it’s Reuse & Processing (RAP) Center in Placerville. All proceeds from Thrift Store sales go to help support the mission of Snowline Hospice serving our community by supporting patients near end-of-life and guiding loved-ones through grief. The operation of the thrift stores relies on volunteers such as the group from Intel.
Thank you to the volunteers from Intel who stepped up and made an impact that will last far beyond the hours invested. Thanks to the Intel corporation for providing the opportunity for employees to volunteer and being an incredible community partner. Last but not least, thank you to Snowline Hospice for being gracious hosts for the team of volunteers and for all you do on a regular basis.
