Cornell University Alumni Group networks while volunteering at Senior Gleaners

Volunteer

On Saturday, January 5th, 16 volunteers from various companies representing the local Alumni Chapter of Cornell University came out bright and early to lend a few hours of their time to Senior Gleaners, a United Way certified nonprofit partner.

Senior Gleaners supplies food and household products to 135 charities who distribute the food to the needy in our region.

The diverse group came together and sorted, organized and packaged specific types of food into boxes that will be distributed to multiple agencies across the region. The day was a lot of hard work but also came with some fun and great networking, offering this group who had so much in common without necessarily knowing one another to make new friends and contacts.
Thank you to all who came out for this fun day and for Senior Gleaners for being wonderful hosts for the volunteers.
