Jan. 14, 2010 -- United Way Worldwide has set up a text-to-give program to assist earthquake recovery efforts in Haiti. From any cell phone, text HAITI to 864833 (UNITED) to make a $5 donation to United Way Worldwide’s disaster recovery fund. The $5 will be added to your cell phone bill.

Jan. 13, 2010 -- United Way Worldwide has created a disaster fund to support Haiti’s earthquake recovery efforts. The disaster fund supports long-term recovery efforts to rebuild lives and infrastructure as well as addressing educational, financial and health-related challenges.
