Promoting Financial Stability and Independence

The uniquely American belief has been that hard work will lead to success and that no matter how humble one’s beginning, the sky is the limit in the land of opportunity. We want to secure that dream for generations to come.
We are working with donors, businesses and nonprofit agencies to find a way to impact the area of Income in our community. Too many working families are not prepared for even the smallest of disasters. Did you know that 63 percent of lower-income working families do not have enough savings to weather an emergency that might require as little as $300?

About 23 percent of working families fall below the poverty line. More than one-third of lower-income working families spend more than 40 percent of their income on housing.

With your help United Way California Capital Region is going to work with donors, volunteers, thought leaders and others to do whatever we can to positively impact Income in our community. We’ve proven that when we all work together, we can make a difference.

Positively affecting Income is just one way to LIVE UNITED.
