Dear <<insert name>>:

I’d like to invite you to join me and United Way’s Women United for the annual spring drive! We are collecting towels, toiletries and luggage for local foster youth in need. As a Women United supporter, helping foster youth is something I’m passionate about, and while a towel may just be a towel to us, these essential items mark the beginning of a new chapter for teens emancipating from the foster youth system.

We have partnered with Sacramento County to help collect items needed for the Foster Youth Emancipation Basket program. Many foster youth emancipating from the system do not have necessary household items to get started on their own, and we want to help make that transition a little easier.

Now through April 17, please join us by donating towel sets, toiletries and new or like new luggage for more than 375 foster youth. Items collected will be included in baskets with other items donated by community groups.

Ready to donate? There are two ways:
1. Buy from our Amazon wishlist (Avoid the hassle! Items will be shipped directly to United Way on your behalf).
OR
2. Purchase items on your own and drop off at United Way (10389 Old Placerville Road, Sacramento, 95827) no later than April 17.

Thank you,
