IT Recruiter, Launch Consulting Group
Tell us a little bit about yourself. Where do you work? What do you do for fun?
As a Technical Recruiter with Launch Consulting Group, I identify and recruit top IT talent for companies throughout Northern California.
For fun, I enjoy working out, wine tasting and spending time with family and friends.
- What motivated you to join United Way’s Young Leaders Society?
After college, I interned at a United Way office in Missouri and then worked for a few other local nonprofits, focusing on donor and volunteer outreach and recruitment. I’ve since moved into the “for-profit world” but am forever committed to staying engaged in my community and giving back. I’m deeply passionate about YLS’ K2C mission and I’m excited for the upcoming year!
- What’s the best advice you’ve ever received?
“Do Like the Solar System and Plan It Out” – Drake
My parents taught me the importance of staying true to yourself. Remember who you are, where you came from and where you want to go and make sure your actions reflect that.
- What would you say to other young professionals looking to get involved in the community?
What are you waiting for? Yes, most of us are busy (and often times overwhelmed) balancing work, family and friends. But there are so many opportunities in our community to get involved and share our time, talents and treasures to create a positive change.
- If you could change one thing about our community, what would it be and why?
Born and raised in the area, I’m #SacramentoProud! I’d love to see Sacramento continue to find unity in our diversity, with a growing awareness of social issues that affect members of our community.
