We’re helping kids and teens eat well and exercise so they will be healthy for the rest of their lives, and heading up Healthy Meals.
United Way’s Healthy Meals Program serves over 1,500 healthy meals a day in after-school programs for at-risk kids in our region. These meals and snacks give them the nutrition they need to learn, play, and grow.
96% of the 4,190 kids in our programs have improved on the school Fitnessgram® test that measures children’s physical fitness.
Since the Healthy Meals program started in September 2014, nearly 265,000 healthy meals have been served during school year and summer.
Now more than ever, our community needs you, your energy, passion, and commitment. Let’s work together as first responders to meet our community’s greatest needs.
