“We had such a lovely, enthusiastic group of volunteers last Friday and want to thank you personally for all your brilliant coordination of this amazing day. Our volunteers completely overhauled our crisis line volunteer room in just 4 hours’ time, and they were all such great people – really friendly and took a ton of initiative, pitching right in and making useful suggestions, etc. We really enjoyed having them.” – Suicide Prevention and Crisis Services of Yolo County

We ended up with 18 volunteers after the Zurich group came to help out. Thank you so much for sending them to us. It ended being such a successful volunteer day! – DDSO

Our team was amazing and worked so fast and efficiently we were done very early. We are so grateful for United Way and all you do to make this day such a great success!! – TLCS, Inc.

We thoroughly enjoyed the day and have beautiful race posters that our breast cancer heroes will love at our 20th Race for the Cure! – Susan G. Komen, Sacramento Valley

A story from St. John’s Shelter for Women and Children: When we had finished painting the dressers some of the residents of St. John’s came out looking for their individual dressers. They were so excited and happy to see  how nice they looked with a fresh coat of paint. A church group came to tour the facility and the leader of the group had once been a resident at St. John’s. She thanked all of the volunteers for their contributions and commented that the volunteer workers from Day of Caring were a huge help and greatly appreciated. All of the volunteers worked fabulously as one team and thoroughly enjoyed the project. The lunch that was provided by Plates was fabulous and all of the participants thoroughly enjoyed their meals.
