Thank You for Making an Impact on Day of Caring!
936 Volunteers Contributed 4,206 Hours

Post

On September 11, we called to action hundreds of volunteers to improve the quality of life in our region and you delivered! The numbers are in!

This year, 936 volunteers completed 36 volunteer projects and contributed 4,206 hours. WOW! Way to show the power of community and our LIVE UNITED spirit. That’s 274 more volunteers than last year!

Volunteers fanned out across the valley in Amador, El Dorado, Placer, Sacramento, and Yolo counties to complete their projects. They painted, built, sorted, cleaned, and organized at 36 projects including a Saturday project with Tuleyome in Woodland.

Thank you volunteers! A special thank you for our Day of Caring team captains that put in some extra hours leading the work at each project site and making sure things went smoothly. A tremendous thank you to our nonprofit partners for organizing your project, welcoming volunteers and providing food and drinks to keep your teams hydrated and motivated.

Day of Caring would not be possible without the support of our sponsors. Nationwide Insurance was once again the presenting sponsor. Thank you Nationwide for sponsoring and bringing out more than 125 volunteers!

Thank you to our project sponsors including California Health and Wellness, Sacramento Kings, Safe Credit Union, Safelite Auto Glass and Zurich, media sponsor Comstock’s, print sponsor River City Printers, water sponsor Dr. Pepper Snapple, and our host once again, Cal Expo.

See photos from your project!

Thank you again for your time and energy on Day of Caring. Our community is a better place becasue you lent a hand.
