Labor-Community Services Booth Very Popular at the California State Fair!

Post

Attendance was up once again at this year’s California State Fair with more than 500,000 visitors walking through the gates of Cal Expo!

The Labor-Community Services booth was a very popular attraction at the State Fair this year, as volunteers advocated for various issues affecting the labor community.

The Labor-Community Services booth gave local unions a chance to adopt a day to promote their local union, their industry, employment opportunities, and issues affecting their members. It also served as an opportunity to showcase the numerous ways union members give back to the community through various community service projects.

This year, 97 volunteers from 19 different labor unions and the United Way, adopted days/shifts to represent their fellow members and their industries!

A huge thank you goes out to all of the local unions and their volunteers who adopted days to represent their industries, and for being such great advocates on behalf of all Working Families!
