When you give $1,000 in one year ($39 per paycheck*) through
United Way to one of our focus areas or your favorite nonprofit,
you are a Leadership Giver.
The Tocqueville Society is named for the 18th century French
explorer, Alexis de Tocqueville, who wrote about the generosity
of the American spirit. A national group, the society promotes
the importance of community service and personal giving. When you
give $10,000 in one year ($385 per paycheck*) through United Way
to one of our focus areas or your favorite nonprofit, you become
a member of our local chapter.
Women in Philanthropy members dedicate their time and creative
energy to giving and volunteer activities that directly benefit
foster youth in our region. They also network with other
Leadership Givers at regularly sponsored events. For more
information, see page 12.
Emerging Leaders make an impact in the community while networking
