Just over a week ago I attended the Child Abuse Prevention Center’s annual gala and was very honored to accept the Inspirations 2010 Philanthropy Award on behalf of United Way’s Women in Philanthropy. It was so great to see the community come out in support of CAPC. There were hundreds of people in attendance all giving their time and money in the fight against child abuse. Women in Philanthropy has grown to over 285 members and we continue to work with United Way to focus on programs with agencies like CAPC that increase the self sufficiency of foster youth.
