YLS on K
This pub crawl of K Street bars in midtown will benefit the Sacramento K2C program

Event

Join United Way’s Young Leaders Society at “YLS on K” on Oct. 14.

This pub crawl of K Street nightlife will benefit the Sacramento Kindergarten 2 College Savings program (K2C). Research shows that children with even modest college savings are three times more likely to attend college – and four times more likely to graduate college, compared with those who have no savings. K2C supports families by starting college savings accounts for kindergartners in the Robla School District.

K2C is part of United Way’s Square One Project – our 20-year promise that we will significantly increase the number of students who graduate from high school prepared for success in college and beyond. United Way Young Leaders Society is working with the founders of Sacramento K2C, California Assemblymember Kevin McCarty and SAFE Credit Union, to grow this program in our region. We know that education is the key to breaking the cycle of poverty in the Sacramento region.

This event will bring together more than 100 young professionals for a night of fun and networking, for a great cause!

Attendees will enjoy special drink prices at Midtown BierGarten, Golden Bear and more!
