It's never been easier to help your community! Local nonprofits have seen a dramatic increase in services needed by families in our region since the economic downturn. How can you make difference? Donate toilet paper to United Way's LIVE UNITED toilet paper drive! Many of our nonprofit partners spend thousands a year on toilet paper. Some of our agency partners spend up to $15,000 a year on toilet paper alone! Your TP donation allows nonprofits in our community to give more financial attention to vital health and human services. Every roll really does count!

Volunteers will greet people as they drop off toilet paper, keep track of donations hand out materials, and pack toilet paper in storage containers that will be taken to a warehouse for distribution to more than 140 nonprofit agencies. UNITED WAY TOILET PAPER DRIVE
ALERT: For immediate release. Please post, Tweet, blog, chat, print, air, show….. anything that will help this drive be a success!
WHAT: We are asking the community to come together and donate toilet paper to help our region’s nonprofit agencies.
WHY: Nonprofit agencies spend thousands each year on toilet paper. Loaves & Fishes – for example – spends $12,000 a year on TP! The more TP we collectively donate, the more money our nonprofit agencies can allocate to the vitally important services they provide our community. They need financial assistance and this is a fun and easy way to help more than 140 nonprofit agencies in the surrounding five counties – Amador, El Dorado, Placer, Sacramento and Yolo.
WHEN: Wednesday, June 17, 2009
TIME: Drop-off locations will be open between 6:30 a.m. – 6:30 p.m.
WHERE: Volunteers will staff three locations:
o Cal Expo main entrance (1600 Exposition Blvd., Sacramento)
o Golden 1 Credit Union headquarters (8945 Cal Center Drive off Hwy 50 and Watt Avenue, Sacramento)
o Folsom High School (1655 Iron Point Road, Folsom)
