192 gifts and 130 stockings were donated this year through United Way’s Women in Philanthropy so local foster youth can have their holiday wishes fulfilled.
Sixty four youth in Sacramento County’s Gifts From The Heart program each received three holiday gifts they requested. United Way’s Women in Philanthropy and community members also filled stockings for 130 current foster youth with United Way’s $en$e-Ability project funded partners: Amador-Tuolumne Community Resources, Child Abuse Prevention Council of Sacramento, Koinonia Family Services and New Morning Youth and Family Services.
We are so grateful for the overwhelming support from the community during the holidays and can’t thank our donor enough! We’d like to also extend a special thank you to the Girls Scouts Heart of Central California, Icetown and Project Linus for their donation of additional items to complete our stockings.
